Dog Days of Summer

I can hardly believe that in a week the girls will be starting school back up! I like the year round school but when it comes to summer I feel like the girls get jipped. So i my own efforts to un-jip them I have made a strong effort for them to have a fun and memorable summer. They had a spectacular birthday party with blow up water slides and a big blow up slip and slide and tons of friends. But in all my planning and hosting I did not get one single picture. So you will have to take my word on that one. Then we went to a fabulous park in Salisbury with some friends. We spent 5 hours here and we did all sorts of fun stuff. We did Gem Mining, petting zoo, rode a train, rode a carousel, walked through a zoo, played in a splash pad, had a picnic, and played in the park. After that we joined m,y sister for her play group and swam some more. Then we had a July birthday party for my niece and nephew. More swimming, plus some fabulous food! After that, you guessed it, more swimming, This time the kids went to some friends house and spent the whole day playing and swimming. Needless to say they had a blast. We then went to the Monroe Aquatic Center where I again forgot my camera. I swear these kids will not believe me when they grow up because I have no photos to document these excursions. Next week we will head to the beach. I will have photos of that. Also next Saturday my oldest is getting baptized. Ask me if that makes me feel old, I dare you.

How old are you anyway? Just kidding! I know what you mean about the camera thing...we just spent a whole week in Idaho, and I didn't get nearly the pictures that I would have liked to. Oh well. Guess I will just have to teach them to write in a journal.
